Now, what if access to that wisdom is buried behind the wall of financial crisis? Well, that’s the unfortunate reality for numerous underprivileged students. To make learning accessible, Siddiqui Welfare Society’s Global Foundation – a renowned NGO working for education of poor children works like the ultimate wingman.

The non-governmental organisation was established more than 15 years back and since then, they have been empowering young minds through financial support for education. Reports have, time and again, revealed the distressing number of meritorious students who were compelled to abandon basic or higher education, thanks to their financial limitations! Despite academic excellence, many fell short of government scholarships by a hair’s breadth.

What Pushed the NGO Towards Financing Education?

They recognised that education is the invincible tool to break the shackles of poverty and unlock opportunities towards a brighter tomorrow. However, when learning remains incomplete, it leads to unemployment or lack of suitable work, frustration and hopelessness. Proper financial assistance to poor students can, therefore, help bridge the gap and unleash full potential of those disadvantaged youth. The organisation provides finance to address the educational expenses of deserving candidates as much as possible.

The Process of Bearing Educational Expenses!

A team from this NGO working for education seeks applications from students in and around Aurangabad every year. After thorough scrutiny, the most deserving meritorious students from poverty-stricken families are provided partial or full financial assistance to continue their academic pursuits. Meanwhile, selected students along with their parents undergo counselling sessions where Siddiqui Welfare Society’s Global Foundation guides them to pursue academic, vocational or technical courses according to the students’ skill and passion.

Note that, going beyond textbooks, they conduct various workshops, events, counselling camps, GK competitions and other educational programs to nurture well-rounded individuals in the country.

• Statistics from the organisation’s annual report shows that during 2022-2023, Siddiqui Welfare Society’s Global Foundation has extended financial assistance to 38 students.

• Of this total number, 18 were female students while the remaining 20 were males.

The NGO helping poor students with potential have provided monetary support for pursuing formal schooling in 10 and 10+2, graduation with and without honours and professional courses like MBBS, BCS, B. Pharma, MCA, etc. That’s not all!
